Bruce C. Toillion, DDS
Dr. Bruce C. Toillion has been practicing pediatric dentistry for over 30 years. His vision for pediatric dentistry has been an asset to the Spokane community and its children; in fact, many of Bruce's former patients now take their own children to Dr. Bruce and the Children's Choice. Dr. Bruce grew up in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa School Dentistry before joining the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany where he and his wife, Arneda, lived. When they returned to the United States, Dr. Bruce went on to receive specialized training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Washington Children's Hospital. Dr. Bruce and his wife liked Spokane and decided to make it their home.
Dr. Bruce is a board certified pediatric dentist, which means he has passed the boards in this specialty, adheres to rigorous continuing education requirements, and maintains the highest standard of practice as delineated by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to being a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Dr. Bruce is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Washington State Dental Association (WSDA), Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentists (WSAPD), and the Spokane District Dental Society (SDDS).
Charles E. Toillion, DDS
Dr. Charles E. Toillion grew up in Spokane and attended All Saints Catholic School and Ferris High School. He attended the University of Puget Sound and the University of Iowa School Of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Charlie received his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Children's Hospital. While in his residency, Dr. Charlie researched the benefit of infrared light in soft tissue healing. He moved back to Spokane in 2000 and joined his father in practice.
Dr. Charlie is a board certified pediatric dentist and a member of the AAPD, ADA, WSDA, WSAPD and the SDDS. He has served as the president of the Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentists.
Andrew H. Garabedian, DDS
Dr. Andrew H. Garabedian was born in Spokane and attended Freeman Elementary and Ferris High School. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound before attending Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Andrew received his specialty training in pediatric dentistry through Indiana University at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. Andrew completed his Master's degree during his residency and focused his research on the efficacy of school water fluoridation. He returned to Spokane in 2002 and joined Dr. Bruce and Dr. Charlie.
Dr. Andrew is a board certified pediatric dentist and a member of the AAPD, ADA, WSDA, WSAPD, and the SDDS. Dr. Andrew is a Champion for Washington State's ABCDE program, an oral health advocacy program improving children's access to dental care.
David Toillion, DDS
Dr. Dave Toillion grew up in Spokane and attended All Saints Catholic School, Ferris High School and received a chemistry degree at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. Prior to dental school, Dr. Dave worked in the Dows Dental Research Institute at the University of Iowa where he tested the Sonicare toothbrush system. He went on to attend dental school at the University of Iowa. During residency Dr. Dave was awarded for his research on laser florescence cavity detection. Dr. Dave's specialty research focused on the utilization of behavior management techniques amongst pediatric dentists all over the United States.
Dr. Dave moved back to Spokane in 2004 and joined Dr. Bruce, Dr. Charlie and Dr. Andrew. Dr. Dave is a board certified pediatric dentist, and a member of the AAPD, ADA, WSA and the SDDS.
Christopher Herzog, DDS
Dr. Christopher Herzog is also from Spokane. He attended St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic School and Gonzaga Preparatory High School. His undergraduate degree was earned at Gonzaga University and he attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Chris completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Columbus Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University. He received his Master's degree in pediatric dentistry with a master's thesis on dental trauma and avulsions.
He returned to Spokane in 2006, and joined The Children's Choice. Dr. Chris was the President of the Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 2012. He is a member of Executive Council of the Spokane District Dental Society, the Board of Directors of the Washington Dental Insurance Agency and the Board of Directors of the Washington State Dental Association. Dr. Chris is a board certified pediatric dentist and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Western Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Spokane District Dental Society and he is a Fellow, Pierre Fauchard Academy Dental Honors Society.
Jared K. Karstetter, DDS
Dr. Jared was born and raised in Spokane, WA. He grew up on the South Hill and went to Ferris High School where he played football, basketball and ran track. Dr. Jared continued his education in Washington graduating Cum Laude from Washington State University Honors College, where he continued to play football. He went on to the University of Washington School of Dentistry, graduating with honors, and completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Children's Hospital and Texas A&M in Dallas, TX. While in residency his research focused on improving treatment outcomes for children who require dental care in a hospital setting under general anesthesia. Dr. Jared is a board-certified member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Jared is a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Spokane District Dental Society, and American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
